George has had a dual career in aviation and the lubrication Industry. His background started in 1966 while serving in the USAF as a Jet Engine mechanic, where he was awarded the Vietnam Service and Southeast Asia Ribbons.

During his airline career with Delta, he received training from several mechanical, avionic, and management classes. He retired as a flight line maintenance manager in 2001 with 30 years of service so he could work his AMSOIL Dealership full time.

He started his AMSOIL career as a part time Dealer while still working for Delta back in 1981. AMSOIL trained him in lubrication and filtration through many schools and seminars.

George and his wife Shirley, served on AMSOIL’s Leadership Council and are one of AMSOIL’S top producing Dealerships. In 2018 they were inducted into AMSOIL’s Dealer Hall of Fame. He has been a guest on several automotive and marine talk Radio Shows across the country.

George is a Licensed FAA Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic and Private Pilot. He has been a long time EAA and AOPA member and is currently serving as President of EAA Chapter 17 in Knoxville TN. He flies his Vans RV14A aircraft from his grass airstrip, Wolfcreek (2TN7), near Knoxville Tennessee, sometimes even making deliveries.
